Application of Visual Media to Improve Students' Understanding of the Qur'an Literacy (Btq) in Grade II of Sdn Munggu

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of visual media in improving students' understanding in learning Qur'an reading and writing (BTQ). The research used Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the Kemmis and Taggart model conducted in two cycles. The subjects were 27 second-grade students of SDN Munggu. Data were collected through observation, tests, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The data were analyzed using both quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results showed a significant improvement in students' learning outcomes, from an average score of 63.66 with a mastery level of 23.33% in the initial condition to 81.83 with a mastery level of 83.33% in the second cycle. These findings indicate that visual media are effective in improving students' understanding, motivation, and engagement in BTQ learning.
