Abstract

The role of women in preventing radicalism is an increasingly important topic in the current global context. This research explores the role of women in the family as agents of preventing radicalism, with a focus on the strategies used and the challenges they face. Through a literature study approach, this research identifies the contribution of women in Islam, the role of Islam in preventing radicalism, and concrete efforts to involve women in preventing radicalism in Indonesia. The results show that women have great potential in building peaceful and inclusive societies. Strengthening the role of women in various fields, such as politics, social and economics, is key in efforts to prevent radicalism. Concrete steps, such as the establishment of a special deradicalization program for women and the involvement of women's organizations, can increase women's contribution in building peace and justice. Emphasis on the values of gender equality, peace and tolerance is important in fighting radicalism that is contrary to religious teachings.
