The Concept of Family Education According to Dr. Wahbah Zuhaili
Abstract
Maintaining Spiritual Values is part of Education. Spiritual values are an integral part that supports education and understanding of various values. In discussing this article, the author is interested in reviewing the concept of family education. The understanding of this concept was taken from one of the Muslim scholars, namely Dr. Wahbah Zuhaili. In his view, the family is a fundamental pillar in building a society based on Islamic values. This concept has implications in the modern context, where social, economic and cultural challenges are increasingly complex. By strengthening the role of the family as the main educational institution, it is hoped that the younger generation will prepare carefully based on religious values and the implementation of Pancasila values. Therefore, family education according to Dr. Wahab Zuhaili plays an important role in building a just and civilized social, legal, economic, humanitarian and civilization system. This article will discuss the concept of family education according to Dr. Wahab Zuhaili and its relevance in the contemporary era.
